Recently, I was asked to evaluate the Image skin care product line. They seem like good products, judging by the information that you can get at their website. But, there is some missing information.

First of all, you can’t order the products on line, unless you are a spa owner or a retailer. If you are a retailer, you can’t sell the products online. Apparently, you have to call to place an order or buy them in a spa, which, of course, means talking to a salesperson.

I have no problem with salespeople, but I used to be one. So, I know their tricks. They want you on the phone so that they can explain “why” their products are so expensive.

They can tell you about all of the benefits, before they give you a price. By the time that the sales pitch is over, most people will buy, without doing any comparative shopping and that’s what the salesperson wants.

I can’t tell how much Image skin care products cost, because I didn’t make the call. I didn’t see any reason to, when there are other products on the market that contain more effective ingredients and sale for a reasonable price. The bottles are larger, so I don’t have to reorder as often. Plus, I can order them online, which is important to me.

Let’s say you are looking for an effective anti-aging cream. Image’s “bio-peptide” cream is one of the products that the company offers for that purpose. They actually have several others, but this one contains the most “active” ingredients.

It is designed at use for night, which is a good time to use an anti-aging cream, because the cellular rejuvenation processes go >> Read More

The best skin care product are determined by ingredients and results; never by brand. Certain skin types don’t react to specific ingredients in the same way another skin type might. One “best” product that may work on one skin type may do little justice to another. The product that’s responsible for your mother’s beautiful skin may leave yours itching and red. What works for the models on television might be too harsh for your skin. The perfect skin care product exists but is usually found through trial and error. It might take some time to figure out which skin care line is the best for you and your needs. Read on for hints to shorten the search.

The amount you are willing to pay is the first criteria you need to establish. You may think that price isn’t a issue when it comes to your skin but some products have large price-tags attached. For those of you that are known by their first name when you walk into Sephoria then ignore my price range advice and skip to the next step. Forget Sephoria! It is hard enough to purchase some of the products in our local department store. For those of us who have to balance our incomes; we need to simply establish how much we can spend and stick to that budget. And remember that no matter what your budget is you will be able to discover skin care products that will surpass your expectations.

Discover what you skin really needs and use it in your own skin care regimen. You may need the cleanser plus a toner and moisturizer. Sometimes a toner causes break-outs, or perhaps a moisturizer produces a heavy sensation with itching. And then there are some who only need to use a cleanser! Unfortunately, so >> Read More

There certainly seems to be no shortage of skin care product lines that promise you the moon – no break-outs, clean, and healthy skin. They’ll also tell you they can give your skin ultra elasticity plus take decades of abuse from your skin. If you listen to the hype on television or read in magazines, it is easy to get confused. If every cleanser or toner is supposedly the best, how do you know which ones really do outperform the others? How do you think you’re able to determine which skin care products work best for your skin? How can you be sure that you aren’t simply dropping hundreds of dollars on products that do little more than clog your pores? Keep reading to find out a way to know which skin care products are the best for your particular type of skin.

You really should discuss the matter with your doctor, first, just to rule out other possible causes for breaking-out. Your family doctor will be able to clarify any other potential issues and provide good recommendations for your skin care. Perhaps dietary changes plus some exercise may be in order. It may be as simple as vitamin deficiency. Some people see their doctors as a last resort, after all of their other attempts at skin care have failed but, if you want to be sure-sometimes your doctor can be a great starting point as well.

Discover what you skin really needs and use it in your own skin care regimen. Some require all three: toner, cleanser, and moisturizer. Some are sensitive to toners, and their face breaks-out when they use one. Still others may discover using a moisturizer causes itchiness and a heaviness discomfort. Of course some people don’t need a toner or >> Read More

Article by Vinna Henry

Sure seems every skin product manufacturer says they have the very best to stop break-outs and bless you with healthy and clean skin. Some even promise to restore youthful elasticity and to take years off of your skin’s life. It’s no wonder so many people end up only confused after listening to all the hype that’s so prevalent. If they’re all the greatest and best, how can you tell which ones really do work better than the others? How can you find a skin care regime that will work for you? How do you know if all that money you’re spending is only an expensive way to clog your pores? Well, here are some hot tips to help you know which skin products are the best for you skin type.

Don’t overdo it. It’s a safe bet you really don’t have to buy over a dozen different lines of skin products to have healthy and nice looking skin. You’ll need a good cleanser, of course, or a cleanser with good break-out treatment – but avoid stripping all the natural oils from your face, too. An OTC cleanser is almost always a good starting place. Make sure you are buying a product marketed for adults! Products marketed to teens are usually harsher and might contain products that could harm an adult face. The second question is how much time are you willing to dedicate to your skin’s health? If you love your skin then you would be ready to give an hour a day. When you think of beautiful skin I’m sure you imagine someone with cucumbers on their eyes and face covered with a specially formulated masking cream. To do this day in and day out takes a lot of discipline and persistence. Cut down on the time involved and money spent >> Read More

The truth is that there is no such thing as a singular “best” skin care product. Certain skin types don’t react to specific ingredients in the same way another skin type might. Your friend may have Type A skin and you have Type B skin; a skin product might be specially formulated for Type A skin and won’t work for you. What worked for your mom might increase your breakouts. What enhances the models on that catwalk skin may not work in the least for you. Identifying the perfect match for you can end up being a process of trial and error. It might take some time to figure out which skin care line is the best for you and your needs. For more info on finding your skincare match, read on.

But when an adult does that it only strips away the natural moisture that helps keep the skin looking healthy. Recognizing the aging process is important to accepting that you may need different skin products for your face and your body.

Give your skin care products time to work. There are no 24 hour miracles with skin care products. You really should allow for 2-3 weeks before you can accurately state a product is a failure, or not. If, after a few weeks your skin does not look or feel cleaner or if your breakouts have increased, it is a fair bet that the product you are using is not doing its job.
The truth is that there is no such thing as a singular “best” skin care product. Each person has different a skin type that may require a different formula. Just because your significant other’s skin care product work wonders for them does not mean you will benefit from it. What makes your mom’s skin glow might make yours peel. What enhances the models on that catwalk skin may not work in the least for you. Try a product; see if it works; if not, repeat the process until you find one that does. It might take some time to figure out which skin care line is the best for you and your needs. Read on for hints to shorten the search.

If you look to the big magazines for skin care info then you are getting a lot of biased suggestions. The reason there are so many ads for Big Name Cleanser in your favorite magazine is because the company that makes the product pays for that space. On the internet there are people who are very passionate about their subject. If you want an honest description of a product the smart choice would be to consult a skin care blog for answers. These websites are usually independently run and the reviews are honest and original. To know who you’re dealing with; you can just read the site’s advertising policy. How much time can you devote to your skin care? Everyone concerned for their skin would love to spend as much time possible with it. It does take a lot of time, so you think, to exfoliate, do the steam treatment, and everything else. Most of us, however, cannot spare more than a few minutes each day for skin care. This is why it is important that you figure out which products are the most important.
Salicylic acid acts from the external layer of the skin, dissolving skin layer by layer. Salicylic acid is a chemical composite with the formula C6H4(OH)CO2H, where the OH group is near to the carboxylic acid group. This colorless transparent organic acid is mostly used in organic synthesis and acts as a vegetal hormone. It is probably best known as a composite that is chemically alike but not identical to the active ingredient of aspirin.
